Headway, a US-based healthcare tech company in San Francisco, is hiring a Principal PM to own the foundational data layer for patient segmentation, cost of care measurement, and payer-facing analytics.

You'll collaborate with data engineering, data science, and clinical strategy to build durable, auditable systems and drive measurable outcomes in behavioral health. Strong SQL and statistical instincts are essential.

Qualifications

• You've owned complex data infrastructure products end-to-end — not just analytics or reporting, but systems other teams depend on.
• You're deeply technically proficient — you write complex SQL, engage with statistical methods, and work as a near-peer to data scientists rather than delegating all data work.
• You've had your numbers challenged by an external party — a payer, a regulator, an auditor — and you know what it takes to make a cost or outcome claim actually hold up.

Responsibilities

• Own patient segmentation and stratification infrastructure
• Own the cost of care measurement layer and auditable payer-facing data products
• Define data strategy for the outcomes team and manage cross-functional alignment
• Build durable, auditable data systems in collaboration with engineering, data science, and clinical strategy
