Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Principal Product Manager for the Cash Line product. You will own the end-to-end product, ensuring market-fit and scalable growth while aligning with business goals and customer needs.

You’ll partner with Design, ML, Risk, Finance, and Analytics to translate strategy into a practical roadmap and measurable outcomes. With 8+ years in product management and a strong quantitative mindset, you’ll influence pricing and product decisions in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience with revenue or unit-economics accountability.
• Experience taking a 0-to-1 or early-stage product from launch to product-market fit.
• Exceptional quantitative judgment to assess funnel data and experiments.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives without formal authority.
• Strong experimentation instincts, including hypothesis development and A/B testing.
• Consumer product intuition for high-consideration decisions.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for a fast-growing credit product balancing customer and business needs.
• Translate insights into product features that build trust and value.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, ML, Risk, Finance, and Analytics on roadmaps.
• Monitor competitors and adjust product and pricing decisions.
• Tie product decisions to business outcomes like contribution margin and cohort economics.
• Leverage underwriting, capital, and ecosystem strengths to grow Cash Line.
