Job summary

Plug is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Fintech to own money movement, payments, and lending-adjacent product end-to-end. You will work with Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Operations to ensure compliant, auditable fund flows that scale with the business.

You’ll negotiate with banks and payment processors, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and operate autonomously in a senior role focused on delivering real infrastructure rather than quick fixes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management.
• Experience owning payments end-to-end at marketplaces or payments platforms.
• Direct experience with banks, servicers, processors, or lending partners.
• Knowledge of fund flows: settlement, disbursement, reconciliation, payoff.
• Ability to act as final decision-maker on fintech questions.
• Comfort in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong technical fluency for system design & API tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for money movement across the platform.
• Design and ship systems moving money instantly and reliably at scale.
• Manage external partners: banks, processors, servicers, and lending partners.
• Run the full flow of funds from origination to payoff with auditable trails.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Risk, Finance, and Operations for compliance.
• Identify opportunities to add lending-adjacent products to the platform.
• Build metrics and monitoring to resolve payment issues proactively.
• Define partnerships and negotiation levers with banking/payment partners.
