Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Principal Platform Security Engineer to define the long-term security vision and target states across products, platforms, and shared services. You will lead security engineering efforts bridging product, infrastructure, and security, driving secure-by-default patterns and scalable automation.

You will partner with senior leaders to align roadmaps and investment priorities, while mentoring engineers and shaping enterprise security strategy across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, software, and security engineering.
• Experience defining target states, standards, design patterns, and reference architectures.
• Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders across multiple organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including risk, tradeoffs, and strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Owns the enterprise technical vision for platform security engineering across shared services, internal platforms, and engineering workflows.
• Defines and drives secure target states, enterprise-scale design patterns, engineering standards, and control strategies across products and platforms.
• Shapes long-range technical direction for secure-by-default platform capabilities while balancing risk, scale, and developer experience.
• Leads complex security engineering decisions involving platform security, shared services, and lifecycle controls.
• Mentors senior engineers and serves as a recognized technical authority across the organization.
