Early Warning is seeking a Principal Platform Security Engineer in Chicago to define the long‑term technical vision for platform security across products and shared services. You will lead security engineering initiatives, establish scalable guardrails, and drive secure‑by‑default patterns across the organization.

Qualifications

• Typically has 15 or more years of experience or portfolio matching role requirements.
• Expert-level experience across platform, infrastructure, software, and security engineering, including architectural and implementation leadership.
• Experience owning technical direction for broad engineering domains or enterprise initiatives.
• Experience defining target states, standards, design patterns, or control strategies adopted at scale.
• Ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving for complex, cross-domain challenges.

Responsibilities

• Owns the enterprise technical vision for platform security across shared services and engineering workflows.
• Defines secure target states, design patterns, standards, and control strategies across products and platforms.
