Affinity is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer in New York to serve as the organization’s top technical authority for platform engineering. You will own the pipeline from code to production, driving CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and MLOps for enterprise-scale AI workloads.

This hands-on role emphasizes architecture, mentorship, and engineering best practices over people management, with a focus on delivering scalable, secure systems and elevating engineering standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on platform and software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise designing and operating distributed systems and cloud-native platforms.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering pipeline from source code through production deployment, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and MLOps capabilities.
• Lead architecture reviews and code reviews to elevate engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction without direct people management.
