Job summary

Oliver Wyman’s Property & Casualty Actuarial Practice seeks a high-performing Principal to lead complex client engagements, drive business growth, and shape AI-enabled actuarial solutions.

The role combines actuarial expertise with strategic leadership, client relationship management, and business development across insurers and corporate clients. You will mentor teams and expand the practice's impact while modernizing delivery with analytics and automation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
• ACAS or FCAS credential required.
• 10+ years of actuarial consulting or insurance industry experience within Property & Casualty.
• Proven success managing client relationships and leading complex engagements.
• Proven business development experience, including generating new opportunities and expanding client relationships.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a client-oriented mindset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex actuarial engagements for insurers, reinsurers, captives, self-insured entities, and corporate clients.
• Oversee project execution, delivery quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic guidance and technical oversight across engagements (loss reserving, pricing, predictive modeling, economic capital, risk analytics).
• Translate actuarial analyses into executive-level recommendations.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with quality standards.
• Drive revenue growth by expanding existing accounts and developing new client relationships.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support growth initiatives and thought leadership.
• Champion AI, analytics, automation to enhance modeling and client delivery.
• Lead, coach, and mentor teams; foster collaboration and inclusion.
• Support recruiting and talent development.
