Job summary

Target is seeking a Principal Security Engineer for Operational Technology to own the design, build, and scale of security solutions across our OT landscape, including stores, supply chain, and corporate offices.

You will define security requirements, assess risk, and mentor others while partnering with technology and business teams to implement secure-by-default practices and drive security excellence at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in information security domains.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in Operational Technology (OT) or Internet-of-Things (IOT) security.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in network architecture, network design, or network segmentation.
• 5+ years of experience leading both technical and strategic planning and strategy.
• Experience defining security requirements, managing findings, and mitigating risk across dozens of unique business lines, hundreds of distinct applications, and thousands of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale security solutions to secure Target's OT across supply chain, stores, and corporate offices.
• Define security requirements, assess risk, and develop mitigation strategies across teams.
• Mentor team members in security concepts, OT security, and engineering best practices.
• Drive secure-by-default initiatives and partner with multiple business lines to align security with business goals.
