Responsibilities

Architect and design scalable, secure, and highly available network infrastructures for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.

Lead the long-term network strategy, aligning with business goals and emerging technology trends.

Serve as the top-level subject matter expert (SME) for networking technologies, protocols, and architecture.

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to develop network policies and best practices.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and other IT professionals.

Oversee the selection and deployment of networking hardware and software, ensuring performance and cost-efficiency.

Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and failure analysis to maintain SLA adherence.

Ensure the security of the network by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and segmentation strategies.

Evaluate and adopt emerging networking technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SASE, automation).

Create and maintain high-level and low-level network design documentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Experience

10+ years of experience in network engineering, with 3+ years in an architecture or leadership role.

Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale networks.

Experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), SDN, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Certifications (preferred)

Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, or similar industry certifications.

Technical Skills

Deep knowledge of routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and load-balancing technologies.

Strong experience with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN.

Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetBox, Nagios).

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
