Position: Lead Solution Architect (LSA)

The LSA plays a crucial role from implementation to go-live for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects. They collaborate with prospects and clients to review requirements, business processes, and existing solutions. The LSA recommends specific business process changes and technology solutions, including integrations and ISV solutions, to ensure successful project deployment. They also assist with estimating timelines, budgets, and costs during the presales process.

During implementation, the LSA leads the functional team on solution design, ensuring best practices for D365 F&SCM configuration and development. They support multiple projects simultaneously, facilitating discussions, establishing consensus, and communicating effectively at all levels, including C-level executives. The LSA represents Columbus as a team leader and business expert, acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

Note: This is a remote opportunity, open to candidates anywhere in the United States. #LI-Remote.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead client meetings for discovery, planning, and solution envisioning.
  2. Communicate solution vision clearly to Columbus consultants, both verbally and in writing.
  3. Coordinate with Project Managers on work breakdown and scheduling.
  4. Review configuration and design changes for consistency and conflict reduction.
  5. Create documentation such as workflows, specifications, and presentations.
  6. Develop reusable artifacts to streamline implementation processes.
  7. Collaborate with Technical and Development Leads on solution designs.
  8. Understand features of common ISVs.
  9. Assist Pre-sales with demonstrations, scoping, and project estimation.
  10. Stay updated on the latest D365 F&O features, including Microsoft Co-Pilot, AI, and D365 Agentification.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in a functional lead role, with prior implementation experience in AX/D365 F&SCM.
  • Completed multiple full lifecycle implementations (minimum of 7) with Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365.
  • 8+ years of client-facing ERP consulting experience.
  • Degree in Business or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and proceed without supervision.
  • Effective collaboration with clients and internal teams, demonstrating leadership and emotional intelligence.
  • Proficiency with Teams, MS Office, SharePoint, and DevOps.
  • Willing to work flexible hours and travel up to 50%.
Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certifications: MB-300, MB-310, MB-320, MB-330, MB-700.
