Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant to lead modern applications efforts, guiding greenfield and modernization programs with a focus on architecture, cloud-native patterns, and AI-assisted delivery. You will drive engagements from strategy through implementation, collaborating with client leaders and engineering teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, pre-sales participation, and mentoring teams, operating in a highly client-facing consulting

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading large-scale application transformation or modernization engagements.
• Deep expertise in modernization strategies and patterns.
• Expert-level understanding of cloud-native architecture with one major cloud platform.
• Proficient in common enterprise languages and frameworks (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript).
• Strong DevOps/DevSecOps experience including CI/CD and IaC.
• Experience with data migrations and database modernization.
• Ability to architect robust, scalable, and secure solutions addressing business needs.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering and prompting for quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization strategy and architecture across client programs.
• Guide teams through CI/CD, testing, data migrations, and security considerations.
• Drive pre‑sales efforts, scoping, and technical demonstrations.
• Mentor consultants and client teams on modern engineering practices.
• Develop reusable assets, accelerators, and thought leadership.
• Present complex concepts to engineers and C-level audiences.
