Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Roy, UT, seeks a Principal Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis Systems Engineer (level 3) to join the Sentinel program’s MS&A team. Focus on modeling, simulation, and analysis of networking, security, and latency requirements in a defense context.

The role supports MBSE strategy, program governance, and collaboration with subcontracted teams. Requires STEM degree and active Secret clearance; relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Required STEM Bachelor's degree with related experience.
• US citizenship with active Secret clearance at time of application.
• Experience with mathematical modeling and simulation.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and enabling MBSE strategies.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for networking, security, and cybersecurity.
• Perform latency analysis end-to-end across hardware, software, and networks.
• Analyze link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss; identify bottlenecks.
• Manage hardware/software budget to ensure performance and scalability.
• Support database management and development activities.
• Support requirement decomposition and traceability.
• Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
• Coordinate with subcontracted teams for SOW compliance and governance.
• Prepare and present content for stakeholders.
