Job summary

Unity is seeking a Principal Mobile App Developer to architect and lead a greenfield iOS/Android consumer rewards app. You will shape the tech stack, define architecture patterns, and own the end‑to‑end mobile experience that drives engagement and retention.

You will mentor senior engineers, set CI/CD standards, and collaborate with ML and backend teams to connect real‑time data with a gamified storefront. Remote or hybrid in US with strong salary tied to location.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in native Swift/Kotlin or cross‑platform mobile apps.
• Experience with high‑scale consumer apps and gamification.
• Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER.
• Experience with real‑time data streams and offline‑first capabilities.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Architecture: Design and architect the mobile client (iOS/Android) for a greenfield consumer rewards application.
• Build the Consumer Experience: Develop gamified UI/UX components and real‑time wallet balances.
• Integrate at Scale: Connect the consumer app to backend event pipelines and ML models.
• Manage Virtual Economies: State management for currencies, ledger updates, and syncing.
• Anti-Fraud & Attribution: Ensure secure, tamper‑proof event tracking.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers and define CI/CD and release pipelines.
