The role emphasizes robust analysis across grid-connected, islanded, and transition scenarios, delivering high-confidence insights for design and validation.

The position is fully on-site in San Jose, CA, reporting to the VP of Product Development.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems.
• 7+ years of hands-on power system and microgrid modeling experience.
• Strong knowledge of PSCAD and PSSE; familiarity with grid codes (IEEE 1547, NERC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Aufgaben

• Develop, maintain, and validate microgrid steady-state and dynamic models.
• Perform studies across grid-connected and islanded operation.
• Analyze load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and voltage/frequency response.
• Collaborate with hardware, controls, protection, and systems teams.
• Prepare technical documentation on modeling assumptions and risks.
• Support end-user modeling and field issue analysis.
