Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to advance electrical design for fuel cell systems in a fully on-site role based in San Jose, CA or Newark, DE. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field and a PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible electrical or power-systems experience across industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of low- and medium-voltage systems, NFPA, NEC, and interconnection standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and review of electrical installation packages meeting codes and project needs.
• Create installation packages for fuel cell installation at customer facilities per NEC requirements.
• Provide technical support with 3rd party microgrid controllers.
• Develop sequences of operations for grid-to-microgrid transitions and islanding.
• Act as Engineer of Record where licensed; sign and seal documents as appropriate.
• Resolve design issues through root-cause analysis and cross-functional leadership.
• Coordinate with remote teams on design development and AutoCAD deliverables.
• Review vendor submittals and ensure Bloom specifications are met.
