Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Principal Product Validation Engineer in California to lead cross-functional teams responsible for validation, characterization, and production release of MEMS timing products. You will guide cross-site projects and drive system-level performance improvements.

The role requires 10+ years in semiconductor sensor-based devices, strong mixed-signal knowledge, and hands-on MATLAB/Python programming.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; other backgrounds considered.
• 10+ years in productizing semiconductor sensor-based devices.
• Experience leading engineering teams and executing verification plans.
• Strong knowledge of mixed-signal circuits and lab instrumentation; MATLAB/Python.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead a team of engineers responsible for validation, characterization, and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing products.
• Interface with cross-functionally teams, vendors, and manage projects across different sites.
• Plan and execute device verification and characterization.
• Work with MEMS and circuit design teams to evaluate new silicon and recommend design improvements for enhanced performance.
• Design, develop, and validate PCB test platforms and firmware to enable automated data acquisition and analysis.
• Develop and transfer algorithms to final test and production environments.
• Perform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues.
• Innovate and prototype system architectures and new technologies for next-generation products.
