Job summary

Honeywell Technologies seeks a Maintenance Principal Engineer to lead Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Excellence programs across global sites. You will define standards, perform risk-based decisions, and guide maintenance strategies with cross-functional teams.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and operate in a hybrid/work-from-anywhere model across specified U.S. locations. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of engineering, maintenance, reliability, inspection, or mechanical integrity experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, manufacturing, or another process industry.
• Experience with fixed equipment and piping mechanical integrity, maintenance engineering, reliability, or inspection programs.
• Knowledge of API 510/570/653, API 580/581, ASME, NBIC, and related inspection and repair practices.
• Experience in a Process Safety Management environment and applying mechanical integrity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Excellence programs.
• Develop and deploy standards, workflows, and governance for inspection, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.
• Lead or support risk-based inspection, corrosion reviews, fitness-for-service, and inspection interval decisions.
• Support Process Safety Management and mechanical integrity compliance across sites.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Advance maintenance excellence practices including work management and predictive maintenance.
• Mentor engineers, inspectors, and maintenance professionals.
