Job summary
Honeywell Technologies seeks a Maintenance Principal Engineer to lead Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Excellence, coordinating across global sites to strengthen equipment reliability and lifecycle performance.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will partner with site engineering, maintenance, operations, and process safety teams on a hybrid work schedule from Houston, TX or other locations, with travel as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 10+ years in chemical, petrochemical, refining, energy, or process industries.
- Professional Engineer license or API certifications preferred.
- Experience with fixed equipment, piping integrity, maintenance engineering, and inspection programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for Mechanical Integrity and Maintenance Excellence programs across assets.
- Develop and deploy standards, procedures, and governance for inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- Lead risk-based inspection, corrosion reviews, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
- Support Process Safety Management and compliance by identifying critical equipment and documenting activities.
- Lead or support root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Mentor engineers and maintenance staff; drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align integrity, reliability, and maintenance priorities.
