Zusammenfassung

Broadcom is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver mechanical assemblies including full chassis design for high-performance products. You will work in a startup-like environment with small, experienced teams and cradle-to-grave lifecycle ownership.

The role requires collaboration across Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, and Manufacturing teams, plus cross-functional groups to ensure design quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of electronics packaging experience.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo and Windchill for 3D modeling and data management.
• Experience with sheet metal, machining, die-casting, and plastic manufacturing.
• Experience with high-powered enclosures and liquid cooling.

Aufgaben

• Design rack-level and tray-level mechanical enclosures from concept to detailed design, including look/feel, part selection, tolerance and DFM analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with regulatory requirements and data center best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop PCB designs and address thermal and power delivery challenges; apply advanced manufacturing to production-grade designs.
• Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and product qualification.
• Prepare engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and change orders.
