Broadcom Inc. is looking for a Principal Hardware Engineer in San Jose, California who will design, develop, and deliver mechanical assemblies for high-performance electronic products. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
You will lead a small design team and collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality product delivery. A competitive salary of $141,300 to $226,000 along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and retirement plans are offered.
As a Principal Hardware Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver mechanical assemblies, including full chassis design for ultra high performance and power electronic products. You may also provide technical leadership to a small design team. You will own all aspects of mechanical design, from BOM creation to product look and feel, design, development, and validation, incorporating DFM. Your responsibilities include customer trials, field issue resolution, and product sustaining, while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of hardware, ASIC, signal, mechanical, thermal, diagnostic, packaging, and manufacturing engineers. Joint development programs may require extensive interaction with partner engineering teams. The annual base salary range for this position is $141,300 - $226,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity in accordance with the company's equity plan documents and agreements.
