Job summary

AMD Austin, TX is seeking a Power Design Engineer to join the MI Platform Power Design Team. You will architect, design, analyze, and verify power delivery networks for high-performance CPUs/GPUs/APUs, guiding layout and component selection and working with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include modeling PDN impedance, validating with lab measurements, drafting test plans with the Board Validation team, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with power electronics design for high reliability.
• Proficiency with analytical tools and lab measurements.

Responsibilities

• Support architecture, design, analysis, and verification of power systems for high-performance CPUs/GPUs/APUs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize PDN design and component selection.
