Meade is seeking an accomplished Principal Mechanical Engineer to serve as Engineer of Record for mechanical systems on complex data center projects. This role leads design efforts, oversees project delivery, and mentors junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mechanical design, with 5+ years in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering and PE license.
• Demonstrated experience as Engineer of Record for mechanical systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with team management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy modeling.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software such as Carrier HAP and Trace 700.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills; experience with hyperscale projects is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Engineer of Record for mechanical design on data center projects.
• Lead HVAC, chilled water, and mission-critical cooling system design.
• Develop, review, and approve drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, architects, and contractors.
• Oversee design from concept through construction, ensuring quality and code compliance.
• Conduct system analyses, equipment selections, and energy evaluations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality outcomes.
• Review and seal design documents under state licensure when required.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
