Job summary

Meade is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to act as a technical leader and Engineer of Record for mechanical systems on complex data center projects. You will lead design efforts, supervise project delivery, and mentor junior engineers, with deep knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and mechanical infrastructure.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, review drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years in mechanical engineering design with 5+ years in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required and in good standing.
• Experience as Engineer of Record (EOR) for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) for mechanical design on data center projects.
• Lead design and engineering of HVAC, chilled water, and mission-critical cooling systems.
• Develop, review, and approve drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors.
