Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems unit in Palmdale, CA is seeking Principal/Sr. Principal Manufacturing Engineer Level 3/4 to join the Model-Based Manufacturing Engineering Team. The role requires on-site work and a current active U.S. Government Clearance.

You will provide manufacturing expertise to improve producibility, support PLM/SAP/MES, develop build sequences, and collaborate with engineering to drive efficiency, cost reductions, and safety while following PPE protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Production, Industrial, Process, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautics.
Experience applying manufacturing expertise to guide Engineering design for producibility.
Experience conducting tool design reviews to minimize assembly build times.
Experience defining production build sequences and implementing corrective actions.
Must have a current and active U.S. Government Clearance.
Ability to lift 15 pounds and work extended shifts with PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

Support Program Manufacturing Engineers with issues and requests.
Provide subject-matter expert input for knowledge-based articles and PLM tooling.
Write, submit, and track PLM tickets; drive new program stand-up actions.
Provide support for CPLM, SAP, and MES software with manufacturing.
Develop and maintain MBM metrics; assist staffing plans and training updates.
