Job summary

Immatics, a leader in cancer immunotherapy, seeks a Principal Manufacturing Associate to oversee on-the-floor operations for cell therapy manufacturing in a cGMP environment at Stafford, TX. You will provide leadership and ensure adherence to cGMP and training.

The role schedules 7:00am-3:30pm Mon-Fri On-site, reports to Manufacturing Manager, and requires 7+ years experience or 4+ with leadership. Join a team focused on delivering innovative therapies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cell therapy manufacturing; or 4+ years with lead/supervisory experience.
• Degrees/certificates in biomanufacturing or related biology fields.
• On-site work in a cGMP cell therapy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and training aligned with cGMP requirements.
• Guide workflow, shift activities, and shift exchanges.
• Maintain a safe and controlled work environment.
• Support deviation workflow, investigations, and troubleshooting.
• Back up manufacturing associates in daily processes.
• Review batch records and documents.
• Coordinate training needs with Manufacturing schedules.
• Communicate with shift leads and managers to share information.
• Collaborate with MSAT/PD to transfer projects into GMP.
• Develop/update internal policies and escalate risks.
• Lead routine team meetings and huddles.
• Work in clean room spaces (~80% of time).
• Handle blood components and temperature extremes when required.

We are seeking a Principal Manufacturing Associate to support our CMC-GMP team. This individual will provide direct leadership and oversight for the on-the-floor operations of cell therapy manufacturing in a cGMP environment.

Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm; Monday to Friday; On-site

Basic Qualifications:

• Biomanufacturing Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree, Biomanufacturing Technology Level 2 Certificate, or equivalent. or an Associate degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomanufacturing or another related field.
• 7+ years of cell therapy manufacturing experience, or 4+ years of cell therapy manufacturing experience combined with lead or supervisory experience.

In this role you will:

As a Principal Manufacturing Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our CMC-GMP operations:

• Knowledge and adherence to cGMP requirements.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and necessary training to staff in alignment with cGMP requirements and established procedures
• Provide instruction to facilitate workflow, shift activities, and shift exchange ensuring all activities are completed as assigned.
• Provide a safe and controlled work environment.
• Provide deviation workflow support, including, but not limited to initiating, investigating, and troubleshooting deviations and unexpected events.
• Serve as backup for manufacturing associates for daily manufacturing processes.
• Review executed batch records and documents.
• Coordinate with the Training Department to include training needs on the manufacturing schedule.
• Clear communication with outgoing and incoming shift Leads and Managers to disseminate all relevant information.
• Collaborate with the MSAT/PD teams to transfer new projects into GMP.
• Develop or update internal policies, procedures or steps, identifies and escalates risks, communicates changes and plan for execution.
• Leads routine team meetings and huddles.
• Ability to work productively and to participate in a highly creative and fast-paced environment.
• cGMP clean room spaces and facilities (~80% of work hours).
• Grade A/B/C/D GMP environment with associated facility noise levels.
• While performing the duties of this job, you may routinely handle blood components and is occasionally exposed to temperatures between -196°C and 40°C, liquid nitrogen, liquid nitrogen vapor, dry ice, and carbon dioxide.
• Lifting: raising or lowering an object (up to 25 lbs.) from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
• Undergo and pass a color blindness evaluation and assessment of vision abilities required for this position.
• Must be able to push or pull carts and gas tanks on rolling wheels (approximately 50 lbs.).
