Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a technically strong Principal Engineer to serve as a Technical Leader within the Innovation Execution team. You will develop and deliver advanced solutions for emerging customer and industry needs, leading sprint-based innovation programs with dotted-line support across Engineering, Innovation Core Functions, New Product Development, and Business Unit Engineering.

You will translate priorities into actionable technical workplans, drive continuous improvement of processes

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related technical field.
Several years of technical experience in product development, systems engineering, applied R&D, or innovation execution.
Experience leading technical teams and coordinating across direct and dotted-line structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Lead technical sprint execution for assigned innovation programs, ensuring clear direction and timely delivery.
Provide day-to-day technical leadership to team members reporting through dotted-line relationships.
Drive execution of innovation projects across assigned technical focus areas.
Coordinate with Innovation Core Functions to align capabilities and resources.
Translate innovation priorities into actionable technical workplans, sprint goals, and milestones.
Support problem solving, design decisions, prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
Maintain strong communication with project managers, engineering leaders, and stakeholders.
Identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints early and address them.
Contribute to continuous improvement of Innovation Execution processes, tools, and team methods.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert in one or more innovation domains.
