Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior Principal Infrastructure Engineer/Architect to act as the technical bridge between federal customer operations teams and internal engineering. The role is highly hands-on across Linux, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.

This is primarily a remote role with time split between virtual work and supporting customer environments in the US; travel to client sites is up to 25%. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering and systems administration experience.
• Linux systems administration (Redhat, Ubuntu).
• Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical bridge between federal operations teams and internal engineering.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across Linux, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Provide remote support with up to 25% travel to client sites as needed.

Job Details

We are seeking a senior-level infrastructure engineer to serve as the technical bridge between federal customer operations teams and internal engineering organizations. This is a highly hands‑on role focused on diagnosing and resolving complex production issues across Linux systems, virtualization, networking, containers, and cloud infrastructure.

*This is primarily a remote role where your time will be split between primarily working virtually and supporting customer environments in Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Montgomery, AL. Travel to customer sites is up to 25%*

MUST HAVE:

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering/support and systems administration experience
• VMware (ESXi, vCenter, NSX)
• Linux systems administration (Redhat, Ubuntu)
• Kubernetes and containerized workloads
• AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud infrastructure

NICE TO HAVE:

• Federal or DoD customer experience
• KVM/libvirt
• Certifications: VCP, RHCSA/RHCE, CKA/CKAD
• Security+, CISSP, or CASP+
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
• DevOps tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Ansible, Terraform
