Job summary

Jobot is recruiting a Systems Administrator in Brea, CA to own and mature our Azure environment, lead network architecture improvements, and support a classified computing environment within a hybrid cloud setup.

The role requires strong Azure networking, Windows Server/Active Directory admin, and security posture management, with US citizenship and a current Secret clearance. On-site work in a modern California facility is expected.

Qualifications

• Hybrid cloud migration and Azure networking experience required.
• US Citizenship and Active Secret clearance required; security certifications preferred.
• CompTIA Security+ (CE) active certification required.

Job Details

What You Will Do:

• Cloud Infrastructure: Own and mature our Azure environment including architecture, storage, Entra ID, governance, cost management, and security posture. Lead cloud migration and hybrid-cloud integration, enforce Defender security tooling and CA policies, manage Intune endpoint deployments, and automate repetitive administration tasks using AI, Copilot, and PowerShell
• Network Architecture: Design, document, and continuously improve network architecture including VLAN segmentation, firewall and ACL configurations, CUI subnet access controls, and accurate network diagrams. Lead network hardening initiatives and evaluate zero-trust and micro-segmentation strategies
• Classified Environment: Maintain secure configurations, audits, SSPs, POA&Ms, and documentation for classified workstations. Support government inspections, vulnerability scans, and audit log reviews while serving as the day-to-day POC coordinating with the Facility Security Officer and compliance team. Training provided.
• General Systems Administration: Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and core virtual infrastructure. Execute vulnerability scans, patching, and configuration deployments, support incident response and 3rd party audits, mentor junior IT staff, manage ticketing, and maintain system documentation, diagrams, and asset inventory. After-hours and on-call availability required for maintenance windows and critical incidents

Required:

• Hands-on expertise in hybrid cloud migration, Microsoft Azure networking, and WAN network architecture
• Experience administering Azure including Entra ID, virtual machines, VNet, CA policy, Azure Foundry, Purview, Defender, and Intune
• Ability to design and manage network architecture including routing, switching, segmentation, firewall and ACL configuration, VLANs, and RADIUS
• US Citizenship required
• CompTIA Security+ (CE) active certification
• Active Secret clearance

Bonus Points:

• Cloud or Microsoft Azure certifications
• Experience with CMMC or NIST 800-171 cybersecurity compliance frameworks
• Experience implementing AI solutions in Azure Foundry or Copilot
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills
