Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to drive high-performance software for scalable, secure remote services in the US. The role emphasizes Go expertise, low-latency systems, and opportunities to shape architecture, observability, API design, and AI-enabled development practices.

You will mentor engineers, set technical standards, and evaluate emerging technologies to boost reliability and speed across teams. Located remotely in the US, visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Go developer in low-latency B2B SaaS environments.
• Experience with Python and/or TypeScript is a plus.
• Familiarity with API design and LLMs is beneficial.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Analytical mindset focused on efficiency and performance.
• Excellent communication of complex ideas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of low-latency services and APIs for scalable multi-tenant architectures.
• Build and optimize forward and reverse proxies for performance and security.
• Implement observability tools for monitoring and alerting across services.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and problem-solving while ensuring code quality.
