Ladders seeks a Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Remote) to lead complex geotechnical projects within a Real Estate & Construction leader. This role informs proposals, contracts and client communications across multiple disciplines, requiring sound judgment and strong leadership.

Based in the US, you will collaborate with regulators, project teams and clients to advance work from analysis through execution, applying deep geotechnical expertise and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering required.
• ND PE Certification is required.
• 15+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will lead complex geotechnical projects that span multiple technical disciplines and require sound professional judgment. The position will also play a key role in proposal and contract decisions, client-facing communication, and technical solutions that support successful project delivery. In addition, the role will partner with regulatory authorities, project teams, and clients to advance work from analysis through execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $122,000 - $182,000 annually

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in civil or geotechnical engineering; MS or PhD is desirable
• 15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience, mainly in consulting
• ND PE Certification required
• Valid driver's license required
• Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with a focus on interpersonal relations
