Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Principal Engineer I - Full Stack Developer to design, build, and optimize high-volume digital asset solutions. You will lead front-end and back-end work using React, .NET, microservices, and cloud databases, while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with architecture and product teams to refine requirements, ensure security, observability, and DevSecOps practices, and drive scalable, compliant banking solutions.

Qualifications

• Mulesoft development experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in financial services is a plus.
• Knowledge of regulatory and banking compliance obligations is important.
• Ability to walk through top-level process designs and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and architecture discussions with senior engineers.
• Develop high-performance, secure payment platforms with scalable architectures.
• Implement API design including RESTful and GraphQL with security and observability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence.
