Job summary

EVONA in the United States is seeking a Principal Flight Software Engineer to design and own the software architecture for spacecraft payloads. This senior, hands-on role covers the full flight software lifecycle and requires deep cross-disciplinary understanding across embedded hardware and software to ensure mission readiness.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in embedded or real-time systems, strong C/C++, and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software experience, with embedded or real-time systems.
• Strong C/C++ and hands-on technical leadership.
• Direct space experience is highly valuable, or experience in mission-critical embedded environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and architect the flight software lifecycle.
• Collaborate across processors, electronics, interfaces and hardware.
• Lead debugging from software through hardware interfaces and sensors.
• Oversee SIL/HIL testing and automated verification.
• Support spacecraft integration and mission readiness.
