Job summary

EVONA is seeking a Principal Flight Software Engineer to own the embedded Linux and networking software architecture for its satellite systems. You will lead kernel driver development, BSP bring-up, and hardware integration, while shaping networking subsystems and protocols.

The role demands 8+ years in embedded software, strong Linux expertise, and leadership to guide cross-functional teams from concept to delivery.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with embedded Linux.
Hands-on Linux kernel, device drivers, and networking experience.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, and communication protocols.
Experience with Yocto or Buildroot and embedded debugging tools.
Proven technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
Aerospace, satellite, telecommunications, or defense experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead embedded Linux development, including kernel drivers, BSP bring-up, and hardware integration.
Architect satellite networking subsystems, communication protocols, and network interfaces.
Develop reliable embedded software using C, C++, and Python.
Drive technical decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.
Mentor engineers and lead complex software projects from concept to delivery.
