Job summary

Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal, FinOps & Software Asset Management to optimize technology costs and governance. You will own processes across cloud, licensing, SaaS, and AI, turning data into actionable insights for engineering, product, and finance leaders.

You will build reusable reporting, dashboards, and standards, maturing FinOps and SAM capabilities across the organization while enabling teams to maximize value and control spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering/Finance/Business/Accounting.
• 10+ years in FinOps, cloud financial management or SAM.
• Experience establishing governance and reporting in matrixed orgs.
• Skills in budgeting, forecasting, showback and chargeback.
• Experience with cloud services, SaaS, licensing, and AI consumption.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve enterprise FinOps processes and governance.
• Partner across Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security.
• Design dashboards, scorecards, and cost reporting assets.
• Define metrics, data definitions, tagging, and reporting standards.
• Own and mature SAM across licenses, SaaS, renewals, and utilization.
• Identify opportunities to reclaim licenses and reduce spend.
• Analyze cloud, software, platform, data and AI consumption for cost drivers.
• Develop recommendations balancing cost, performance, resilience, security.
• Maintain optimization pipeline and track savings.
• Empower teams with playbooks, training, self-service resources.
