Deckers Brands is seeking a Principal, Financial Operations & Software Asset Management to lead FinOps governance and optimization across cloud, software licensing, SaaS, and AI services. This role is an individual contributor with broad influence across Engineering, Product, Finance and Procurement to drive cost transparency and value.

In this position you will design dashboards, standardize reporting, and mature SAM capabilities, partnering with teams to turn data into actionable

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive FinOps/SAM/cloud finance experience.
• Experience establishing governance and reporting in complex organizations; influence without authority.
• Proficient in FinOps, SAM, budgeting, forecasting, showback, and chargeback.

Aufgaben

• Own and improve enterprise FinOps processes and governance.
• Partner with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security to embed FinOps.
• Design reusable dashboards, scorecards, and reporting assets.
• Establish metrics, data definitions, tagging, and reporting standards.
• Mature SAM processes for software and SaaS subscriptions; improve license visibility.
• Identify opportunities to reclaim unused licenses and optimize subscriptions.
• Analyze cloud and software consumption to surface cost drivers and risks.
• Develop recommendations balancing cost, performance, security, and value.
• Maintain a pipeline of optimization opportunities and track savings.
• Empower teams with playbooks, training, and self-service resources.
