Job summary

DynaChrg Inc. is seeking a senior EV charging systems engineer to own the charger-facing integration layer of the EVES platform.

You will lead integration with commercial EVSE hardware, perform OCPP 1.6J configurations, and expand OCPP 2.0.1 support across multiple vendors. This on-site role in Calabasas requires deep CSMS experience and hands-on debugging of charger logs, network traffic, and firmware interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a closely related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant professional engineering or systems integration experience.
• 3+ years hands-on EVSE-to-CSMS integration experience in commercial EV charging.
• Deep experience with OCPP 1.6J; OCPP 2.0.1 strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with commercial AC Level 2 and/or DC fast chargers.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of commercial EVSE with DynaChrg's EVES platform.
• Configure, validate, and troubleshoot OCPP 1.6J communications.
• Support and expand OCPP 2.0.1 integrations.
• Analyze charger-to-CSMS message flows and expected vs actual behavior.
• Troubleshoot OCPP functionality including multiple message types (BootNotification, Heartbeat, Authorize, etc.).
• Review OCPP messages, logs, telemetry, and network captures.
• Identify charger-specific deviations and onboarding issues.
• Reproduce integration/production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
