Job Description

As our Principal Environmental Engineer, you will be an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental science to identify, analyze, and resolve industrial hygiene and environmental issues. This senior position will work hand-in-hand with site management and support personnel to ensure overall compliance of the site.

1. Maintain safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA VPP).
2. Collaborate and participate as a valued member of the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support, and coordinate activities and processes.
3. Lead and/or provide safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental input for the specification, design, build, and launch of new processes and procedures.
4. Collaborate with other Bosch HSE sites and regions to improve overall performance in North America.

Qualifications

1. BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, or related major.
2. 5+ years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment that involves the use of hazardous chemicals and gases. Direct involvement with the storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
3. Experience in identifying, evaluating, and developing procedural and system solutions that are cost-effective and meet user requirements for the management of safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues. This should include chemical/gas safety, industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous waste disposal, air permitting, and exhaust ventilation.
4. Strong computer and data management skills desired. Experience with web-based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
5. Ability to work as part of a team while driving individual project work and activities towards the team's goals.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Certified Industrial Hygienist.
2. Knowledgeable in Federal and California hazardous waste management and other environmental regulatory requirements.
3. Understanding of air pollution abatement.
4. Knowledge of wastewater treatment and basic regulatory requirements.
5. Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes to include the potential hazardous effects of exposure and corresponding best practices to minimize those hazards.
6. Embrace responsibility, initiative, capacity to work independently, and dedication to producing high-quality work through a high level of personal motivation, integrity, and accountability.
7. Must have the ability to prioritize in a challenging environment of competing needs, implement and bring projects to closure in a timely manner.
8. Effective communicator with demonstrated ability to interact comfortably and communicate effectively to multiple cross-functional audiences and teams.

Additional Information

1. Ability to travel within regions up to 10% of the time.
2. This role will work on-site in Roseville, CA.
3. Monday – Friday Shift, overtime and on-call when necessary.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $150,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
