Job Description

As our Principal Environmental Engineer, you will be an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental science to identify, analyze, and resolve industrial hygiene and environmental issues. This senior role will collaborate closely with site management and support personnel to ensure overall compliance of the site.

1. Maintain safety & environmental standards based on risk/hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements and HSE management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA VPP).
2. Collaborate and participate as a valued member of the site leadership team to provide HSE guidance, technical support, and coordinate activities and processes.
3. Lead and/or provide safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental input for the specification, design, build, and launch of new processes and procedures.
4. Collaborate with other Bosch HSE sites and regions to improve overall performance in North America.

Qualifications

• BS or MS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of HSE experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals and gases, including storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Experience in developing cost-effective procedural and system solutions for safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental management, including chemical/gas safety, industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous waste disposal, air permitting, and exhaust ventilation.
• Strong computer and data management skills, with experience using web-based applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, etc.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while managing individual projects and activities towards team goals.

Additional Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Hygienist.
• Knowledge of Federal and California hazardous waste management and other environmental regulations.
• Understanding of air pollution abatement.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of chemicals and gases used in semiconductor processes, including hazards and safety practices.
• Ability to take responsibility, work independently, and produce high-quality work with integrity and accountability.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse teams.

Additional Information

• Travel up to 10% within regions.
• This position is on-site in Roseville, CA.
• Monday – Friday schedule, with overtime and on-call as needed.
• This role is only available to individuals authorized to work in the US indefinitely; no sponsorship available.

The U.S. base salary range is $120,000 - $150,000, with individual pay based on experience, knowledge, and role complexity. Additional benefits include health plans, HSA, FSA, 401(k), wellness programs, insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.
