AT&T Global Public Sector is actively seeking a Principal Engineer to provide contract-wide technical leadership for the RIS I program. This role drives end-to-end architecture decisions, aligns services across teams, and champions secure, scalable, and interoperable solutions to advance the customer’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience translating customer mission needs and requirements into cohesive architecture decisions.
• Experience applying ITIL service-management principles across the solution lifecycle.
• Knowledge of security, zero-trust principles, and risk-management in solution architectures.
• Ability to mentor engineers and stakeholders through design guidance and reusable patterns.

Responsabilités

• Serve as principal technical advisor to RIS I program leadership, service managers, engineering teams, cybersecurity stakeholders, and the customer.
• Evaluate customer mission needs and translate them into architecture decisions and actionable requirements.
• Define and communicate RIS I target architecture, principles, standards, reference patterns, and integration approach.
• Apply systems engineering and ITIL practices across the lifecycle including requirements analysis, service design, transition planning, and change management.
• Assess solutions for architectural alignment, interoperability, scalability, resiliency, performance, and security.
• Lead cross-service architecture analysis to identify dependencies and standardization opportunities.
• Partner with cybersecurity to incorporate security and risk-management into solutions.
• Develop current/future-state architecture views, roadmaps, and sequencing for modernization.
• Facilitate design reviews and document key decisions, tradeoffs, and risks.
• Provide hands-on guidance to resolve complex engineering and integration issues.
• Identify and prototype emerging technologies and automation to improve mission outcomes.
