Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Columbia, Maryland, is seeking a Principal Architect (SE3) to provide contract‑wide technical leadership across RIS I, guiding architecture decisions, security compliance, and modernization priorities in support of the customer’s mission. This onsite role requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance and will work five days per week at the designated location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 10+ years designing, integrating, modernizing, or governing complex enterprise IT environments, including 5+ years in an engineer capacity.
• Experience leading architecture governance and communicating options to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal technical advisor to RIS I leadership, engineers, cybersecurity stakeholders, and the customer.
• Translate mission needs and contract requirements into architecture decisions and actionable requirements.
• Define and communicate the RIS I target architecture, principles, standards, and reference patterns.
• Apply ITIL service‑management practices across the solution lifecycle and ensure alignment with SLAs.
• Develop current‑state and future‑state architecture views, roadmaps, and transition plans.
• Mentor engineers and stakeholders through guidance and reusable patterns.
