Job summary

Metro Associates in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal Engineering Designer to advance multidisciplinary land development projects. You will develop grading plans, process subdivision maps, and ensure compliance with codes through agency procedures.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering with several years of land development experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D. California experience is preferred, with EIT and a path to CA PE license within 12 months.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering plus four years of land development experience, or equivalent eight years.
• Experience taking grading plans from concept through final plans and processing subdivision/land development documents.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience required.
• Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures; California experience preferred.
• EIT certification and ability to obtain a California PE license within 12 months of hire are preferred.
