Job summary

The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities is seeking an Engineer Principal - Water Supply Planning and Modeling Engineer to support drinking water supply planning and regional plan updates. Proficiency with GIS and modeling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and MODFLOW is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
• Five years of professional engineering experience.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop or review models to support regional water supply planning.
• Represent the City in regional water supply planning efforts.
• Perform scenario assessments to evaluate future growth.
• Coordinate with CIP and O&M teams on water supply planning information.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze hydraulic and process models for treatment plants and distribution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
