Job summary
The City of Richmond's Department of Public Utilities seeks an Engineer Principal to lead water supply planning and modeling efforts, supporting regional planning and city CIP/OM initiatives. The role requires proficiency with GIS and modeling tools such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and MODFLOW.
The successful candidate will develop and review models, represent the city in regional discussions, perform scenario analyses for growth, coordinate with CIP and O&M teams, and maintain hydraulic and process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
- Five years of professional engineering experience.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in VA preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop or review models to support regional water supply planning efforts.
- Represent the City of Richmond in regional water supply planning efforts.
- Perform scenario assessment to support future growth evaluation.
- Coordinate with CIP and O&M teams to inform water supply planning.
- Assist with additional modeling over time for water and wastewater systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
