Job summary

T-Mobile USA, Inc. in Frisco, TX seeks a Principal Engineer to lead, design, build, and deploy scalable software and network solutions that meet customer needs and support highly available systems.

You will collaborate with other engineers to develop modern software components using system design, virtualization, SDN, NFV, and big data. Independent judgment drives reliable, well-integrated solutions in line with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.
• Engineering/Computer Science (Required)
• 7-10 years Technical engineering experience.
• Telecom Billing Domain experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and validation of network systems to maximize reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations to communicate design benefits to diverse audiences
• Drive engineering projects by applying techniques, conducting tests, and supervising engineering teams to meet objectives
• Analyze and implement technology improvements to optimize network processes and support business requirements
• Monitor industry technologies and standards to inform design decisions and influence organizational technology strategies
• Evaluate new and existing technologies to align with business goals and support network evolution
• Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
