GRN West Palm Beach is seeking a Principal/Senior Embedded Software Engineer for its West Coast operations, with a Portland, OR option for hybrid or remote work. The role focuses on designing and implementing firmware for the SynerG CGM system across embedded devices, collaborating with sensor and electrical teams, and enabling robust glucose monitoring solutions.

Qualifications

Proven working experience in software engineering.
Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
Solid programming experience in C or C++.
Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems.
Familiarity with software configuration management tools and defect tracking.
Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols and hardware subsystems.
Technical Bachelor degree with 6+ years work experience; 1 year with body worn medical devices is a plus.
Technical Master’s degree with 4+ years experience; body worn medical devices experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Designs and implements software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production deployment.
Designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs system software.
Interacts with hardware design and development teams to finalize firmware requirements.
Communicates progress and interdependencies in regular group meetings.
Travel up to 25% if joining remotely.
