Job summary

GridPoint in the United States is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop embedded firmware for the GridPoint Energy Management Platform. You will work across base firmware, application firmware, and tooling, collaborating with hardware, firmware, and QA to deliver reliable firmware for microcontroller-based products on Microchip and STMicro platforms.

The role covers both new product introduction (NPI) and sustaining existing lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on IoT systems development and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop firmware for microcontroller-based IoT devices.
• Integrate device data with cloud and application layers (MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Develop and maintain device management, OTA updates, and telemetry pipelines.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and QA teams to ensure quality.
• Create test plans and perform unit and system testing.
