Job summary

Dexcom seeks a Principal Firmware Engineer to design and oversee embedded/firmware software architectures for iCGM products, balancing performance, reliability, and security with hardware constraints.

You will lead design decisions, collaborate with hardware teams, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with FDA standards while delivering scalable, secure solutions worldwide. Travel 5-15% is expected; remote work with potential hybrid options is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 15+ years related experience, or a Master’s with 10+ years, or a PhD with 7+ years.
• Experience in embedded firmware design, testing, and debugging.
• Strong communication and leadership for mentoring teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document embedded/firmware architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware teams for driver development and memory optimization.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams; conduct code reviews and set standards.
• Perform system-level performance analysis for reliability, security, and scalability.
