Job summary

Links Technology Solutions, Inc. in Endicott, NY, seeks a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to lead flight-critical avionics software development and mentor a high-performance team.

You will oversee requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, and verification while ensuring DO-178C compliance and advancing cybersecurity features. This role offers sign-on and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8–10+ years embedded software experience with at least 3 years leading teams.
• Strong RTOS experience (LynxOS, VxWorks, INTEGRITY preferred).
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and assembly.
• Deep understanding of embedded software architecture and MBSE.
• Familiarity with aerospace software standards (DO-178B/C).
• Experience implementing cybersecurity features (secure boot, TEEs, cryptographic algorithms).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the embedded software team in developing advanced control and avionics systems with emphasis on safety, performance, and security.
• Mentor and support engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Drive all phases of software development from requirements to verification.
• Design and review software to meet DO-178C and internal quality standards.
• Evaluate new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency.
• Serve as technical point of contact for complex software issues.
• Lead integration of cybersecurity and safety features with rigorous validation.
• Perform program management duties with Earned Value Management.
