Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions in the United States is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to drive the development of safety-critical avionics software for a military aircraft platform. You will work on C++ development, RTOS, and Linux-based embedded systems, coordinating with a multi-site team and ensuring compliance with DO-178C standards and lab testing.

This role requires an active Secret clearance, on-site work, and travel up to 10%, with a competitive salary range and bonus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience
• C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems
• Real-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity)
• Embedded application development in Linux (ie Yocto/RHEL), Windows, & Bare Metal environments
• Software integration & test in lab and hardware environments
• Ability to work onsite 100%
• Ability to travel 10%
