Qualifications

• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Deep, hands-on embedded hardware/firmware security expertise.
• Strong C and C++ software development skills.
• Proven track record building production security platforms.
• Deep PKI knowledge for embedded/resource-constrained systems.
• Applied cryptography experience to government standards (FIPS 140-3, CNSA 2.0, CCSDS).
• Experience with security testing methodologies for hardware/firmware.

Responsibilities

• Own the security architecture, threat modeling, and defensive controls for spacecraft platform.
• Architect and build security platforms, tooling, and foundational services to enable secure-by-default development.
• Design and implement PKI for resource-constrained spacecraft, including device auth and firmware signing.
• Hardening the flight software build and deployment pipeline and protecting supply chain integrity.
• Lead security assessments and penetration testing across spacecraft and RF systems.
• Drive secure design practices across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
